Microsoft Office 365

Windows 365 Cloud PC

One way to look at cloud computing is to consider it as “Microsoft on steroids.” Cloud computing, also known as “services architecture,” is the latest buzzword in the Web development community. Simply put, it’s a way for software developers to deliver services like email, search, calendars and much more through a virtual computer network. If you’re in the development stage of a web project, then chances are good that you’ve already been using this technology, as most developers today rely heavily on it.

With Microsoft Dynamics GP, accounting software that’s been used by finance professionals for years, comes the Cloud. With the cloud computing model in place, a user can log into any computer that has an available Internet connection from anywhere in the world. All that means is that the user no longer needs to have his own computer to do work, as everything he needs is located in a data center that’s off-site. This means that scalability isn’t an issue and that Excel and other programs can be shared across multiple locations with no problems.

Of course, not everyone is a techno guru. In fact, many people are not aware that there’s such a thing as cloud computing.

In order to get a better idea of what this model entails, let’s take a look at how Google works, one of the most popular e-mail services, works. You probably know it as Hotmail, but the basics are the same. You log in to your account, create a password and select messages to either reply to or trash. When the messages come to your inbox, they’re all stored in one database, which you access with the click of a button. Click here to find out more about Windows 365.

This is pretty much the way things work now. But thanks to technology such as the Cloud, things have changed. Gmail, one of the largest e-mail providers, recently announced that they’d be adding support for two more services: Google Docs and Google Calendar. With these additions, Google will allow two users to write in the same document, view the same information from both accounts, and have it all show up simultaneously on the same page. By combining your email services with calendars, you’ll be able to use two distinct yet integrated services within one application.

There are several different cloud computing models that companies can choose between. Depending upon your requirements, the model that you choose will vary. A common option is to buy storage from a service provider, and let your application download the data it needs from the server. Microsoft has recently announced that it plans to support cloud computing through its own cloud services initiative, and according to a Microsoft spokesperson, the changes are coming “very soon”.

For businesses that do not need as much storage space, the service offered by the MS cloud is likely sufficient.

However, if you require more data storage, it’s recommended that you purchase your own servers. Luckily, purchasing your own hardware is easy. MS recently announced that it will be supporting virtual servers on the world-wide-web, meaning that your company will only need to pay for the server space itself, rather than for any individual machines that it licenses to a host on the internet.

If you’re unsure of what cloud computing is exactly, it’s an interesting concept. Essentially, a company that uses this method saves money by using a virtual online service instead of purchasing physical hardware. This method has several distinct advantages, including cost-effectiveness. In addition, it allows you to make use of several different services together, whether you need access to a file server or a calendar service. Furthermore, cloud computing reduces the infrastructure costs associated with running multiple services.

Microsoft’s decision to support cloud computing through Windows 365 will no doubt be welcomed by businesses across the world. In fact, many businesses will begin to convert their current Windows environment to the cloud, once they become aware of the price benefits. By doing so, they will free up resources within their organisation and increase their overall productivity and efficiency. While it’s unclear when Windows cloud computing will be available through Windows 365, you can certainly take advantage of its features right now.
